Privacy policy
Effective and last updated September 8, 2026. This policy explains what Artha Insurance LLC collects, why, who sees it, and the rights you have.
Note to the agency: have a licensed Texas attorney review this policy before publishing. It is written in good faith but is not legal advice.
Who we are
Artha Insurance LLC is an independent property and casualty insurance agency at 12800 WestRidge Blvd, Ste 271, Frisco, Texas 75035, licensed in Texas only (agency NPN 22254975, individual NPN 22250458). You can reach us at (469) 815-3491 or info@arthainsurance.com.
What you provide to us
- Contact details: name, phone number, email, and mailing or property address.
- Quote and policy details: what you want covered — vehicles, buildings, business operations, payroll, drivers, roof age, coverage dates, and similar underwriting facts.
- Documents you send us, such as declarations pages, contracts, and claim photos.
- Claims information when you notify us of a loss.
We never ask for, and you should never send, a Social Security number or full tax ID through this website. Where a carrier requires one to issue a policy, we request it through a secure channel at the point of binding.
What we obtain from other sources
To quote and service insurance, we and the carriers we represent may obtain consumer reports and related data, including:
- Motor vehicle records (MVRs) showing your driving history.
- CLUE reports (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) showing prior insurance claims on you or a property.
- Credit-based insurance scores, obtained under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). These are not the same as a lending credit score.
- Property data such as roof age, square footage, construction type, and flood zone.
- Policy and claims information from carriers that have insured you.
What this website collects automatically
Very little. Our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. This site uses no analytics services, no advertising or tracking pixels, no third-party advertising scripts, and no cookie banners because there is nothing requiring one — the only cookies, if any, are those strictly necessary for the site to function.
Why we collect information
- To prepare quotes and place coverage with the carriers we represent.
- To service your policies: certificates, endorsements, renewals, and billing questions.
- To assist you with claims.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including Texas Department of Insurance requirements.
- To contact you about your request, with your consent, by phone, text, or email.
Who we share it with
- Insurance carriers, underwriters, and wholesale brokers, to obtain quotes and issue and service policies.
- Consumer reporting agencies, as needed to order the reports described above.
- Service providers who support our operations (such as our agency management system and email provider) under confidentiality obligations.
- Regulators, law enforcement, or courts when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not give or sell your information to unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.
Gramm-Leach-Bliley financial privacy notice
As a financial institution under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, we collect nonpublic personal information from you, from your transactions with us and the carriers we work with, and from consumer reporting agencies. We disclose that information only as permitted by law — to effect, administer, or enforce your insurance transactions, and to the parties listed above. We restrict access to your nonpublic personal information to staff who need it to provide products and services to you, and we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect it. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about former clients except as permitted or required by law.
Your FCRA rights, including adverse action
If information in a consumer report — an MVR, a CLUE report, or a credit-based insurance score — results in an adverse action, such as a declination, a higher rate, or nonrenewal, you are entitled to a notice identifying the consumer reporting agency, a free copy of the report from that agency within 60 days, and the right to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information with the agency.
Under Texas law, an insurer may not take an adverse action based solely on your credit score or credit information; other underwriting factors must be considered. If you believe a decision rested only on credit, tell us and we will raise it with the carrier.
Your rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act
Where the Act applies, Texas residents may request to know whether we process their personal data and to access it; correct inaccuracies; delete personal data; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or certain profiling. We do not sell personal data and do not engage in targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on those grounds.
To exercise a right, email info@arthainsurance.com or call (469) 815-3491. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, telling you if so. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal" in the subject line; we will respond to an appeal within 60 days. If you are dissatisfied with the appeal outcome, you may contact the Texas Attorney General. Note that much of the information an insurance agency holds is governed by GLBA and may be exempt from portions of the Act; we will tell you when that is the reason for a decision.
TCPA consent and opting out
Where a form on this site asks for a phone number, it includes an unchecked consent box. Checking it authorizes us to contact you by phone, text message, or email — including at a wireless number — about your request and related insurance services. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can revoke it at any time: reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe mechanism in any email, or simply tell us by phone or email at info@arthainsurance.com.
Cookies
This site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Any cookie set is strictly necessary for the site to operate. Because nothing is tracked, there is no cookie consent banner.
How long we keep information
We retain client records, including quote requests, policy files, and claims correspondence, for at least five years after a policy ends, and longer where Texas insurance regulations, carrier contracts, or litigation holds require it. Records no longer required are disposed of securely.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Uploaded documents and form submissions are stored on access-controlled systems, and access is limited to agency staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your unencrypted personal information occurs, we will notify you as Texas law requires.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Information about minors — such as a teenage driver on an auto policy — is provided by a parent or guardian in the course of an insurance transaction.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting how we use previously collected information will be flagged prominently on this page.
